I see that you have added a "Sad" emoji to my post but have neither the courtesy nor the courage to leave an accompanying comment. Having seen your posts on the Forum and not having any other realistic alternative, I assume that your "Sad" comment is in regards to the #MeToo hashtag I posted.

To be honest, I find your adding of the "Sad" emoji both creepy and icky, both in this specific case and in general.

Regarding this specific story, a University President has a clear responsibility to look after his students, both men and women, and to demonstrate behavior that is appropriate to his position. He has not done so and thus should be removed from his position of trust. Good Bye and Good Riddance; don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Stewardesses on airplanes have specific jobs; they manage boarding and exiting, they provide food and beverage services, they manage the passengers to ensure a smooth flight, and they are there for safety purposes should something terrible occur. Yes, they usually look very nice and I often enjoy their appearance; I like a beautiful woman as much as the next guy. 

They are not there to be photographed in their workplace, without their consent, by some creepy little perv who, most likely, will use the photos at a later time for masturbatory fantasies. Or, simply to "Drool" over.

What kind of a weird sicko takes photos of Stewardesses (without their consent) so that other men can "drool"? @riclag; do you "drool" over anonymous photos of Air Stewardesses? In the larger sense, the #MeToo movement is essentially about common respect for people. 

As above, I like to look at beautiful women (and I love living in Thailand for that), but there is a difference between enjoying the beauty of a woman and being a greasy little perv masturbating over photos of women in their workplace. By the way, the Internet is filled with all sorts of porn if that is what you need for your self-pleasuring sessions.

Women simply want to be treated with a modicum of respect, to be able to live their lives without being objectified as a "pair of tits" or a "nice ass" or some other de-humanizing moniker, to be able to receive the same opportunities as men to make a better life, and just to get on with their lives without having to deal with all the greasy little perverts who demean them. 

Is that so much to ask?

#MeToo is about basic respect and equality for human beings. Yes, I am sure you can find extremist behaviors or extremist people advocating extremist nonsense, but they are the extremes. Women want, and I hope that men will agree, simply to be treated in a respectful and equal manner to men and to not have to put up greasy little pervs.

If you have either a wife, a daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt or even a female friend, ask them and they will explain it to you.

Maybe the dean was photographing these women to inspire his students to work hard to succeed at school and so perhaps a beautiful, cultured woman such as an airline hostess can be an achievable reward later in a successful life.  I believe he used words to effect of “make you hungry” perhaps as in hungry for success, not hungry as in “me so horny”?  The #metoo movement is great but as you have seen n the West it has overcorrected behaviors and also been abused by some.
Ps: imo, you suck sweaty buffalo balls for judging and calling someone out because they left their opinion via an icon. A picture says a thousand words and all art is open to interpretation.

I do not enjoy people going around taking photos or videos without asking permission. However this is the new norm where social media is rampant and people making contents are knowingly or unknowingly violating others right of privacy.

Many of these are young people or GenZ. They have body cams, action cams or even their mobile phones to record going on flights in the airports or where ever, vlogging or Youtubing etc. One needs to adapt.

Mr Mak; I generally agree with your post.

I don't particularly like all the photos being taken these days, I especially don't like having a camera pointed at me without asking, and I agree that young people take waaaaaay too many photos.

However, the context matters greatly. Can I suggest that you re-read the article and/or have a look at the Bangkok Post Editorial I posted (the post above your quoted post)?

This was not a "young person or GenZ", this was a 71 year old male University President, and it is the job of a University President to ensure that young people are properly educated; this was not leading by example. Furthermore, this was not some stupid kids taking selfies with their friends as they boarded a plane and the Stewardesses were in the background; these were targeted photos of female stewardesses in their workplace without their consent or permission. Finally, this wasn't the usual too many photos on Facebook/Instagram or the like; the University President, in his resignation letter, admitted that he sent them to underlings in order to make the "Drool". 

Let me repeat that extremely salient point; the University President took the photos and sent them to his underlings in order to make them "Drool".

I have no idea if you still work or where, but... If you were working in an office and some old man came in and started taking photos of your female colleagues, I am pretty sure that you would challenge him (I would; every man should). If he then said "I am going to post the photos to my younger male colleagues so that they drool", I think you would smash his camera and punch the guy in the face (I would; every man should).

This is the context.

And, even in Thailand where things aren't as clear as they are in Western countries, the loser was forced to resign.

This is/was Sexual Harassment and it is good that the old dinosaur lost his job; he isn't fit to lead an institution that educates young people.
