Had a good one yesterday, one old tree down and the wife nearly had heart failure with lightning and thunder virtually overhead (flash, bang, simultaneous)

Midnight last night. Lightning hit a tree a few properties down. Now just splinters and the crash of thunder was huge.

Poor young puppy nearly hit the ceiling in shock when it happened!

Yeah my dogs have a hard time with thunder and lightening if too close too. Wonder how potent this storm will be in CM as if it is a good strong one with high winds then for where I am they seem to topple the giant CM-Lamphum tall trees and give us power failure for hours on end.

Just had one pass just to the southeast of us. Still saw a pretty good light show and could actually hear the rain so must has been pouring.

Still in the firing line for another band of storms but about 90 kms away. Plenty could happen in that distance.
