Get ready to say goodbye to Thailand’s 30 baht per litre price cap on diesel on May 1. Starting on Sunday, the price will be 32 baht per litre, according to the Oil Fuel Fund Office. Thailand’s permanent secretary for energy said the current 11 baht subsidy per litre is falling to 9.6 baht per litre. I foresee a slow and steady rise for diesel price.... perhaps an increase of 1 baht per month until it reaches say 38/litre

It is the equivalent of 75 baht in the UK.

Thais would be happy to pay that if they got the same wages as in UK.

9.5 pound per hour (413 baht) basic wage as opposed to approx .75 pence (approx. 37.5 baht) per hour.

Uk pay is more than 10 times the difference. Think UK motorists would be happy to pay 320 baht?

All in perspective creates a different view maybe.

Agree. Many things are coming to a head in this world.  World economy about to go into a bad recession, suicidal nut cases in powerful places, what could go wrong.

The beach ball from Nth Korea, ZJP jailing his own people in their homes and starving them. Mentallly unfit president in the US, French being French idiots a little above normal, Germans up to their necks in Russian ties and still trying to sit on the fence and be Putins friend, thank you Merkel.
