How do trace amounts of the virus on durian cause infection? How is this even a public health risk? China is obsessing over a negligible risk for reasons I do not understand.  The research says that the risk of exposure is 1/10,000 for general objects and that the virus is 99% weakened after 72 hours.   Here's an example of a summary of evidence      https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/science-and-research/surface-transmission.html#:~:text=Findings of these studies suggest, infection 7%2C 8%2C 9.

For comparison sake, I looked up the exposure risk for other infectious viruses common to the produce China exports. Celery, and carrots had viable virus after 8 days, and for radishes, carrots and lettuce it was  30 days.  Why then the emphasis on durian when other produce offers a greater risk for chronic illnesses like hepatitis.  Is this China bullying because of cancelled submarine contract?

No. They just dont want the covid risk. Thats it, no need to see ghosts in the machine. I'm sure they've taken advice from the American CDC.  After all, they've got an immaculate record with covid. 😀

This is all self-inflicted.

Thailand's military launches a coup and the civilized world condemns it.

Thailand's military turns to China for support, thinking "How could this go wrong?".

Fast-forward to present day...

China's Border Officials (note, not even the Central Government, but 'Border Officials') threaten Thailand's economic livelihood, simply because they can.

Thailand Jumps and in mid-flight asks "how high, Sir?"

Who could have seen this coming...

Unfortunately, Thailand has no backbone when it comes to China.

The CCP is trying to make China zero free cases. Dreaming, while their economy is going down the drain.

What still? The Chinese economy has been going to the wall for years, it's just that no-one told them! 😄

Chinese parking attendant tells Thailand "You can't leave that there".

How dare you export our own virus back to us!

How dare you ship contaminated product is more like it. Thailand has previously been warned about this. Taiwan banned Thai pork imports but there was no outcry about that. Thai exporters and custom controls can either lift their game or go sit on the bench and cry foul.

No. They just want someone else to blame.

Exactly right this has nothing to do with Thailand, the CCP does not give a rats proverbial about Thailand or durian. It's all about maintaining the propaganda that all covid cases in China come from foreign sources. It can be put in the same file as the rubbish about mail and packages from overseas of course when it was the possibility of the virus being exported from China on and in the millions of items sent overseas from China they said that was impossible...

But the CCP wants to save face over a Chinese company soon to lose the Thai submarine contract as the German Engines have COVID19 on them (so they are not allowed in China) yes it does sound political Tit for Tat.
