The Ministry of Transport has begun an investigation into the partial collapse of a passenger building at Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport. A heavy storm on Monday evening led to a build-up of rainfall that the building’s guttering was unable to support, leading to a partial collapse of its roof and walls. It is a scary thought to think what would be the damage had the hall been full.
 

You see many makeshift structures around Thailand that wouldn’t last 10 seconds in the face of a normal windy day in Western England. However, you don’t expect a rain storm to bring down the roof of a new modern airport building.

They will find the roof was held in place with brown envelopes ….. due to the rain the brown envelopes got to soggy and imploded

I would not expect that from an old building. But new buildings?  Looking on how they are building, these days? Not so sure!
