After budding Thai rap star “Milli” ate a bowl of sticky rice and mango onstage in front of a crowd of hundreds of thousands at California’s Coachella festival, Thailand’s mango farmers might rake in some dough. Despite being the largest exporter of mangoes in the world, Thailand has had problems with mango shipment due to Covid-19. Sayan Bunying, president of the Thai Mango Growers Association, told the Bangkok Post that the export price has been forced down from 50 to 30 baht per kilogramme. Really? Google says the figures of global mango exports per country are all over the shop. Mexico seems to be the top exporter by weight and India the top producer depending on which site you choose to believe. Thailand will probably see a small spike in mango exports but I think the local producers in other countries will just scale up to meet demand especially as how shipping costs are forever going higher. Leaving more delicious sweet mango in Thailand for me to eat.

yes,fanta ,mexico does produce a lot of mangos but they are not the thai type.thai mangos are the best ive ever had.i dont know about india mangos.but the red and green with a blush of red mangos from mexico are stringy and no where as big or sweet as a thai mango.so im voteing for my thai mangos as the best🤠👍

Well...the best mangoes are from India. They are more juicy and tasty than any other mango species in the globe..."Bangana Palli, Neelam, Malgova....are some of the best varieties. which one should taste before comparing with other varieties that is available.....

They are also the most expensive for vareities if I remember correctly. Also mango seasons differ around the world so this is how they are exported.
