Rumours are swirling in Moscow that a number of former generals and KGB officials are preparing to oust Russia’s president Vladimir Putin and plan to end the war in Ukraine, which is increasingly seen across Russia as a strategic mistake and, above all, an economic disaster.

To depose Putin is an admission that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a failure, the West is right, Russia was wrong and cannot handle the pressure from the West. Seriously?

I know that this is not music to your ears but It is no big secret that the Russians have failed in all their objectives, the have shown to the world that they are very poorly trained, lack the determination that the Ukrainians possess, losing generals to them is like us losing coins down back of of sofa, they also lack self discipline and it would seem that the only thing that they excel in is mass murder and etc etc.

It would make great sense to get rid of the liability that resides in the Kremlin, "seriously!"

Its all going wrong isn't it. The war, the sanctions, world opinion and for what? How does Czar Putin win this?

Why not call for Russia to leave the Ukraine and end the suffering?

Too late to roll back. Big War in Europe already started.

First targets are reached.

Unblocked Crimea land corridor.

Unblocked water sources to Crimea (it's historical problem with water in this region).

Cut off Kiev's clowns from Black Sea shore. (In progress)

It makes great sense to the West and sleepy Joe would probably get his first erection in decades without pharmaceutical assistance but it is not realistic. I am sure this war has more internal support than Afghanistan, Syria etc had inside Russia. We are not seeing the Russian propaganda and effects inside Russia so believing Western claims that Putin’s homeboys are on the verge of revolt based on rumors propagated by MSM is wishful thinking. Suppose the US invaded Canada or Mexico. Can you imagine the US deposing their war time leader because things aren’t going as well as the enemy thinks they should be?

Too late to roll back in Ukraine. But advancing into Europe? Russia’s military isn’t strong enough to take & hold Europe and it would be borderline suicidal. Winnie the Pooh would have to either join Russia against the West or abandon Russia. Russia cannot risk losing the support of China, it’s biggest ally, and China cannot sit on the fence if Europe is attacked. MSM might portray Putin as a lunatic but no-one says he is stupid.

Russia is not the US, Russia is a dictatorship. But I am getting it now why you are so pro Russia, it would seem that because you don't like the US that you feel that your allegience should be aligned to Russia, not to put a too finer point on it, it gets boring.

But if you think that the Ukrainians are just going to lie down and let Putin tickle their tummies you are going to be sorely disappointed. Whether Russia takes part of Ukraine it will not end there the Ukrainians will never surrender to a murderous regime such as Russia, spin this out as much as you like but Putin is on borrowed time and it may be that secretly you know this and if you don't...well you should, you have been told so many times.

Wake up and smell the coffee.☕

Russia already gave Ukraine a belly rub, 8 years ago in Crimea. I will only be disappointed if peace talks don’t come to fruition for Ukraine’s sake because, all bluster aside, the longer this goes on the less chance Ukraine has of coming out of this war as a country not completely under Russian control. The Russian foreign minister stated that their goals do not include forcing Zelenskky out of power/regime change. If Donbas falls we might see progress on the peace front and, imo, peace is a win for Ukraine.

Those that start a war don't get a say on how it ends.

Russia cannot sustain a war in Ukraine, the Ukrainians will not run out of money nor arms, this is going to end very badly for Russia, they need their noses bloodied, invading sovereign countries must not ever happen again!

Yes your propaganda tv has really overstepped the mark this time, they are claiming our fish and chips.

But don't you look at these programs and yearn for some truth at times, come on less of the nationalistic bravado and admit you're backed a loser here, Russia will be resigned to history, Putin has messed up big time.

Russia can sustain a war just across from it’s borders far longer than Ukraine can. Money is not a stifling issue - Winnie the Pooh will lend a few yuan to Russia. Conventional weapons availability is also not an issue for Russia the second biggest exporter of weapons in the world. By the time Russia uses half of the stockpile they have been building since 2017 Ukraine would already resemble a crater. Home ground advantage is great but Ukraine has “only” 440,000 soldiers maximum - the rest are untrained recruits. The majority of the Ukrainian Air Force is scrap metal and the majority of it’s Navy has been converted to submarines. Keep in mind that if this continues without a serious attempt at peace it becomes a fight for survival for Ukraine but not for Russia. Russia pulls back across it’s borders and wakes up it’s nuke operators along the way.

I do believe military doctrine has moved on since the mid 1900s'. But then again, it is obvious you Russians have not learned much of anything since uncle Joe wiped out the intelligensia after WWII.

Wow, so sayeth one of the Russian bully boys.

Pretty much everything detailed here can be said of Russia. A whole bunch of conscripts, an ill educated officer class, inferior equipment and on the sidelines, a bunch of wannabe supporters.

And a reminder, once a nuke is used then all bets are off. A bit like the threats of a nuclear strike on the UK. Nothing was mentioned about the response which would see Russian cities evaporate along with everything else.

A realist is often seen as a bully boy by the stubborn who won’t face facts. Your outdated propaganda about Russia’s military simply doesn’t stack up to the ground lost by Ukraine. If Russia military is as poor as you believe then Ukraine’s military, after 7 years of US training and provisioning, is arguably far worse. How can you explain that?  My point about Russia and it’s nukes was to highlight that any advance into a beaten Russia is a road to nowhere, the same fate that awaits any Russian advance into Europe.

Yes because Russia traded space for time, and were defending their home. I have a feeling you missed the irony.

Your wanting the Russian to win means not one carrot, the Ukranians will never be subjugated by the Russian tyrants and if you think that they will you are more of a Putin apologist than we all imagined.

All Putin has achieved so far is to unite the west and strengthen NATO, two things he never thought that would happen when he first illegally invaded the Ukraine, but what worries me the most is that you think it is ok for Russia just to waltz into another country and kill and rape its citizens and raze cities to the ground, and your response to this is Ukraine should surrender, please tell it to the marines because no-one is listening to such nonsense.

This will never be forgotten for a long time by not just by Ukraine, but the rest of the democratic world.

I don’t want Russia to win. I simply don’t want Ukraine to lose everything. What worries you is not my concern. 1 million+ Ukrainian citizens have fled to Russia. That’s 20% of all the refugees to date. If you think Kyiv has Ukraine’s undivided support you are mistaken. I would tell the Marines and the remnants of the Azov Regiment trapped underground in Mariupol to force the civilians to leave. It is the soldiers choice if they want to either surrender or fight to the death and at least the soldiers have a choice. Don’t worry, the democratic world won’t forget Ukraine the same as they forgot the people of North Korea, Vietnam,  Afghanistan and Syria to name a few. Not because of your idealistic notion of justice but simply because Ukraine borders Russia and is a useful thorn in Russia’s side that can be prodded and poked at will.

It has been reported that some of Russias top Generals are looking to rid the Kremlin of the lunatic that calls himself president.

"Rumours are swirling in Moscow that a number of former generals and KGB officials are preparing to oust Russia’s president Vladimir Putin and plan to end the war in Ukraine, which is increasingly seen across Russia as a strategic mistake and, above all, an economic disaster.

The top of Putin’s former employer – the Russian security service FSB – is said to be so frustrated about the lack of military progress in Ukraine that it has reached out to a number of generals and former army officials, according to various analysts and local media reports.

In particular a group called the ‘Siloviki’ – which comprises of former FSB officers who are active in Russian politics – is said to be pushing hard to replace Putin, together with former officers from the GRU, KGB and FSO, other Russian intelligence units."

Now this sounds like a really good idea for a change!

Hope so. It may be that domestic pressure and discontent is becoming higher in Russia than anything else. It's hard to tell for sure but who is really going to benefit from this "special military operation"? Nobody.
