News Forum - Southern Thailand peacefire shattered with another fatal bombing

Recommended Posts

The leader of one of Thailand’s southern rebel groups claimed yesterday that the group was behind a double bombing that killed a villager that day. Chalermchai Petchkart, the police chief of Sai Buri district in Pattani province, where the bombing happened, told Benar News that the bomb that exploded and killed the villager had been left in a paper bag. “His friend walked to the field as Navi parked his motorbike near a tree and found a paper bag. He picked it up, and the bomb exploded, killing him there”. The group, Patani United Liberation Organization, is considered one of […]

well, probably wasnt good idea to annex other peoples countries, i guess

Really and this is a logical, rational and reasonable response according to you. This person is classed as a legitimate target then.?

Somebody, ie anybody else, can die to further somebody else's opinion.

Well let's hope that what goes around, truly is what comes around.

If the government gives in to Islamist terrorists by giving them the land they want then it’ll be only a matter of time before they creep north and start bombing again. That’s the ways of the religion of peace. They won’t be happy until they’ve driven Buddhism out of Thailand and control the country.

Islam has become a religion of fanatics. It would help if the most prominent Islamic clerics came out and condemned the actions of these terrorists/freedom fighters. They are notable by their silence on the issue.

Not only the vast majority of muslims don‘t want anything to do with extremists, who don‘t represent nothing but themselves, but also Islam, like Judaism, has no clergy. And just because the media outlets you follow don’t report about lslamic religious leaders who condemn any kind of terrorism, it doesn‘t mean there aren’t any doing so. Long story short, you again have absolutely no idea what you‘re talking about. Instead, you‘re the typical guy who feels the need to comment nearly every Thethaiger post, but is rarely right.

A few weeks ago it was a bomb left in front of a local school which those separatists‘ children may go to, now it‘s a bomb in the middle of nowhere. The fact that people in here believe this kind of propaganda nonsense shows clearly how dumb and naive they are.

In London I worked with many Islamists who in the main were well versed in the arguments of the terrorists. They were reluctant to criticise any outrage committed by them.

Thanks for the insult Xavier and the lack of evidence that you have any idea what you are talking about also.

These are opinion pieces and it’s my opinion the Islamic leaders don’t do enough to condemn extremists. There have been plenty of incidents in my own country and there has been a notable absence of any condemnation. Perhaps you have evidence to the contrary?  If you do then let’s debate that rather than personal insults please.
