An independent candidate is leading the pack of 31 running in Bangkok’s gubernatorial race. In Bangkok’s first gubernatorial election in nine years, Chadchart Sittipunt is favoured by 38.8% of 1,362 eligible voters polled. The poll was conducted from April 5-7. The runner up at the moment is yet another independent candidate, Aswin Kwanmuang, with 10.1% of respondents saying they prefer him. At third place, a Democrat Party candidate is favoured by 6.8% of respondents, and a Move Forward Party candidate by 6%.
