Overtaking when on coming traffic is coming?

Driving on wrong side of road?

All need to be addressed!

Head on collision’s are common due to impatient overtaking and killing families of their own or others!

Its scary on the freeways!

It's Nature's way of thinning out the idiots, the incompetent and the just plain old dim.  Pity Covid is not that selective

Get really serious, confiscate their vehicles and bikes they were using at the time of the offence for 3 months with no early release of same by paying. 

Thais will only change if it hurts.

I wouldn't like to be the guy that goes home to a wife and tells her he got drunk and they have no car or bike for three months. 

Might be a few more guys going around with high pitched voices.

Confiscation of Vehicles until fines are paid

And also 3 day’s Minimum without Vehicle

I don't know where you are from but in US/Canada there is always increased police presence/roadblocks on July 4th, NYE 

 

It's pretty logical

More people are out drinking and more people might drive drunk

 

So their presence catches people, but the more important point of the increased police presence is deterence

This frightened us to a point of being very scared to drive !

Thais pass and endanger lives!

we saw a new 4WD squashed back to rear seats after driver hit a truck !

truck was also squashed back to rear cabin!

both on drivers side!

A head on from passing when they shouldn’t!

This is common!

We have seen trucks carrying vehicles smashed to the back seats on the drivers side on many occasions, and now I understand why!

This person was in recognisable and the dead body had to be pulled out in pieces!

Horrific!

please do something to make these people drive more carefully!

It’s a nightmare on country roads and freeways with the speeding!

Traffic problems and "accidents" (the expression used for incompetent driving) is worldwide... however the fatality rates are diminished with the structured enforcement of existing laws... ie. seatbelts... no drinking and driving... two people maximum on motorscooters... helmets not masks... you get the drift!?

Thrr we main problem is not the safety equipment!

That is good  

But the speeding and overtaking is at crazy proportions!

Quiet villages , Beach roads, freeways?

They don’t care about who they might hit , or the dangers to Children , animals, Adults, elderly, anyone?

They show no respect on the road !

Its all about them!

Talking on mobile phones!

Pulling up in the middle of the road to take a phone call or to get some cigarettes at 7/11

They do not indicate ?

Do they actually have their licences?

If so they have no regard for any laws?

I believe there should be TV advertising on the laws and when to overtake!

It is such out of control here !

There are no consequences for this erratic behaviour, speeding and passing while other vehicles are coming!

Also taking short cuts so they don’t have to drive and do a U turn?

They drive on the wrong side?

That is a prison offence in western countries, but they think It’s ok because everyone else does it!

PS... I have encountered as many and certainly more on a % basis of farang drivers being twice as rude as the Thai's... so you see... it's the lax law enforcement not the people in general.

All of these driving issues can be easily fixed. Give me the authority and I’ll fix it inside of a month!

I get totally bored of reading about new initiatives and new ideas to reduce fatalities. This isn’t Cold Fusion they are trying to solve!  Many counties already know how to reduce traffic accidents. Invite people to show you, or jump on a plane (No U.K. pass required) and take a look what they do. It’s so easy.
