The CCSA has announced today that they will hold off on adjusting the current entry restrictions for foreign travellers to Thailand until after next week’s Songkran festival, as they continue monitoring the spread of Covid-19 in the country. Broke, but leasing larger planes with extra seating capacity. 

They cannot fill the few planes they have flying now.

Insanity.

I see it that way: Selling (good luck with that, in these times) what you have, to get cash in the wallet.

Leasing something new (russia and the western world still wanna holiday. And come on, Russia can't fly there leased 400 Boeing/Airbus planes outside of Russia, now), stretching the cost over years, but still having a newer fleet (average age).

It is a try to be more competitive, methinks

Just I am worried, that they dont find buyers for the old planes. So the lease cost extra on top. Good luck

VDO intro it was described as a purchase but later, a lease. Then images of an A380 are used, twice within the article.
