Thais of different ages appear to have a wide range of opinions on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Well dictator’s protect dictators!!! there is the correct answer in this case there is NO neutral stance it’s WAR CRIMES with facts behind.

Just a matter of how far behind, eh?😃

In rural areas I think a lot of Thais are not even aware of the war or the ramifications.  They may have seen minor parts of it on TV, but think it is a world away and has no direct implications on their life.

Have told a few the war is the reason that petrol is going up, they say "but it has nothing to do with Thailand."

For some the world is there village, others their Province and some even Thailand.

Think only a small percentage (the well educated) get the big picture of the world.

Ask most Thais to point to Thailand on a world map and they can’t do it. They simply have no idea where Russia is or Ukraine, even less what the political motivations are for the war. Most have never heard of the Vietnam war or the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and they are in the back garden.

The youth of today with more access and use of the internet and social media are obviously going to be better informed. It’s called progress.

Yes, oddly enough for ease of access I keep my dictionary between Dictaphone Repair Manual and Dipsticks Of The World.
