yeah. just yesterday, I heard someone had declined a job offer because now he would need to go to Laos, despite the Thai authorities doing it all in country for the last 18 months at least, this policy will stagnate the employment market for a while as people are to used to not having to go anywhere, so they will either go home or stay in one place disgruntled. If you could do the paperwork in country during covid why not afterwards, or maybe its some sort of deal with laos to keep the short term tourism flowing
