I was actually reading yesterday about British soldiers deserting to go and join the fight against Russia in Ukraine. What especially caught my attention was the comment of one soldier that changed his mind and returned who said that he wanted to have some "action", especially after his hope of getting deployed to Afghanistan was dashed . It just gives you an idea of the mindset of these people. Sick is the word that springs to mind.

Fighting for Justice & Freedom is the opposite of “ sick”.😎

Action Required but perhaps a strong letter or street protest would suffice ?😆

Soldiers wanting action is why they are soldiers not office workers ! 🤣

NATO’s military hands are tied. Zelenskyy has asked NATO for a no-fly zone and “support without limits” and that means direct military involvement from NATO. The replying silence was deafening. Russia signed a “no limits” 99 page alliance statement with China days before they invaded Ukraine. If NATO puts boots on the ground against Russia then China will respond. That’s why we are not seeing “military advisors” flooding into Ukraine to help. Nobody wants a war with China. Putin stated his goal was to “protect” the 2 “independent” regions and the “de-nazification” of Kyiv so he won’t stop until either he takes Kyiv or the Ukrainian government goes into exile or he has a sudden fatal heart attack behind closed doors.

You better stop drinking Fanta.
NATO is a defensive organisation, of which Ukraine is no member.
And China won't interfere. They are already loosing to much money with this war. It is bad for business, helping Russia would even be a worse move for them, as it will block all commerce with Europe and America.
Even their "iron silk route" (trains between China and Western Europe) is stopped now.
China has also to many interests in the West, including port terminals, shipping lines, warehouses, car factories...

Your link clearly states “Ukraine claims” and your refusal to admit that propaganda exists in both sides is admirable and staggeringly naive. Do you honestly believe that Russia is producing tanks because their existing tank numbers are running low? Russia has 4 times as many tanks as Ukraine. You’ll be disappointed, and probably disbelieving, that Ukraine simply hasn’t got enough tractors to drag them all away. This is not a world war driven by the necessity to “produce or perish” and none of these countries, except Ukraine, have mobilized their full military or economic resources.

Global arms sales slumped in part due to Covid since 2019. China and Russia may be the bad guys but portraying them as technologically or militarily weak defies logic.

Where did I state Russia was producing tanks because the exiting number was running low? The point was Russia has stopped producing weapons because they have run out of imported computer chips. Huge difference. Russia doesn't produce high end computer chips, they don't even product mid level ones. They only produce the level that goes into ATM cards. All the rest are imported and those imports are cut off (and no they can't get them from China as they don't make weapons grade chips either). As to the tank factory itself, they are producing T-90s to replace the old T-72s. Not to replace what is being lost in Ukraine (they probably couldn't make them that fast even if they wanted too).

Back to the topic of Russia's hypersonic missile:

Seems it hit a chicken farm instead of the weapons depot as claimed:

The Drive noted the geolocation of the target to eastern Ukraine “answers our question as to the UAV's presence above the target area. The anti-air threat is nothing in Ukraine's east as it is in the west. This also calls into question, even more, why a missile of Kinzhal's nature would be used on a target close to Russian territory and on what appears to be a farm's barn or large chicken coup.”

Video of Russian hypersonic missile attack shows farm, not arms depot: Report - The Week

To be fair to the Russians, this seem much more believable.

they actually struck a farm, NOT a military target,

With a large number of Russian made military equipment failures during the last month, it may not bode well for the Russian Arms industry going forward.

Unfortunately the process of training soldiers and the culture it creates can have that effect on some people.

Funny how the so called "Russian" vehicles (note that the Ukrainians use the same vehicles) don't have the 'Z' painted on the side that the Russians use to identify their equipment. This clip has already been exposed as propaganda by the Ukrainian media.

Russian equipment always was crap. And their logistics is even worse.

Its why Czar Putins offensive has now had to go on the defensive.

All those Russian kids getting killed for what? Its over. Czar Putin has lost this. Now he might be able to dispose of the dead using mobile incineration units but what is happening with all the wounded? He can of course lie to the next of kin saying they were killed by a bear in Siberia but those wounded guys are going to get home eventually. As will whats left of his army.

War criminal Putin is now saying give us the regions of Donbas and Luhansk and we will call it quits.

The Ukraine is rightly saying no chance.

Russian troops are starting to mutiny. Killing their own commanders. Russian troops have no supplies. Russian troops have no motivation because they dont even want to be there in the first place. Moral is non existent.

Its over. The only thing that remains is how long Czar Putin takes to accept this and how many will die until he does.

What does remain a question is who is actually going to pull the trigger on the back of Czar Putins head? My money is on Lavrov. The foreign minister.

Do the forum rules allow us to open a book on this or what?

They were ambushed and shot in the back by Ukrainian NeoNazi saboteurs and US undercover agents.
