The Thai man who murdered the Swiss tourist at a Phuket waterfall last year has been sentenced to life in prison by the Phuket Court. 28 year old Teerawat Thothip was initially sentenced to death, but it was then reduced to life imprisonment given that Teerawat confessed to investigators. No. Believe it or not, money has nothing to do with time served after sentencing except for parole applications. He received 1 sentence of life, not multiple consecutive sentences hence my question. Murderers etc at excellent class (after case finalised and 2 years imprisoned) get a 50%  sentence reduction per pardon. There have been 5 or 6 general pardons in the last 3 years alone. Life > 50 years > 25 years > 12 years 6 months ….
