The luxury villa in Koh Kut that burned to the ground, with guests narrowly escaping the flames, was equipped with smoke detectors and alarms, but they weren’t working, according to the island’s mayor, Dechathorn Chanob. Most likely another example of not thoroughly checking the fire services. How can a smoke detector not work? When was it last checked? By who? We’re they qualified? If this was an insurance job then I hope they will be all over the questions and I hope they refuse to pay out. Totally hopeless set up

Nah, that is not possible. Smoke detectors not working, nah. Are there any available in Thailand? Seriously, have I ever seen them at any hotel where I have been at 😏? It is like wearing helmets on a motorcycle or children sitting on a child's safety seat in a car.Well, that was too funny now. But on the other hand I see people wearing face masks on motorcycles and in cars. That will safe their lives, for sure.555

I've known some people remove battery from smoke detector because it was sited too close to kitchen areas and kept going off. The simplest method would have been to close kitchen door or move detector to a different position.
