I want to get opinions on how parents with kids in Thailand see the differences you see....

My observation is in Thailand, kids don't seem to have their friends around the house much.

When younger they just go to school and then come home and play with their family/relatives

When older they will go out with their friends to movies/mall

Where as in the US/Canada, if you have kids, their friends are basically your other kids, they are over the house and around so much

Also, how is it when you have older kids(late teens/early 20's) when they have boyfriends/girlfriends?

My wife, who is a legit crazy person, refuses to meet any of my stepson's girlfriends, he is 21yrs old. Has had a couple gf's for a while

We are in Canada so we don't have a ton of chances, but when she is home w/o me, she won't meet his gf's

She said if I am there, she will.

Just wondering other's experiences....
