Given similar infection trends in all of Southeast Asia why not just drop all testing? How much different is a flight from Bangkok to Phuket than KL or Singapore to Phuket?  There’s no difference between it’ll cost a lot more.

So it's ok for vaccinated visitors from, say India, to come to Thailand without all that testing and Thai Pass nonsense, but not for travellers from say Europe or the USA? What is the qualitative difference from a risk point of view (other than the nationity? Nothing, nada, zilch.

It won't be long that the VTL will be extended to all travellers I predict. This is the face-saving exit strategy for the Thai authorities to dump the Thai Pass. Won't be long, maybe end of this, I'd say, and everyone will be allowed in via those VTLs. Situation has become more dire w/o all those visitors from Russia, they simply also need more visitors from Europe and and other countries.

Side note: buisness with Russian visitors unlikely to recover any time soon. Aeroflot to cancel all international flights as of next Tuesday (exeption Belarus) and VISA and Mastercard announced they will cease with cards from Russia.

Another good news for Thai tourist industry. Many people will coming to Thailand without quarantaine them self and no register for Thai pass. 

In otherhand it is not right for many people who already have all the vaccine that there need to do according WHO. What are different between Omicron from India and Omicron from Europe of USA or Canada.This is an unfair difference made in the treatment of people. The VTL have very good model so Thailand should follow and give an aportunity to vaccinated people  from other country too. The government should stop Thailand pass+day 1 RT-PCR test+day 5 ATK test. I can only see that right now not many tourist will go to Thailand under scheme test&go sandbox or AQ. But I am sure when Thailand starting VTL without Thailand pass more tourist will coming to visit Thailand. 

For this years Easter holiday is already gone for Thailand tourist industry.  A lots of tourist from Europe and USA will go somewhere without many restriction. 

I hope Thai government will change to new strategie so the Thai tourist industry will grow again. Never to late to be change, change before it to late.

Can't see much tourist traffic this year now that war has broken out in Europe which could last for a long time. Good luck with regional travel bubbles but suggest rules should be clearly stated.

Emulate Philippines travel protocols please.. Our tourist arrivals increased by 40% because of much simplified procedures and travel requirements

vague as usual. I read 'meet the requirement for entry' but nothing about the crap pass & US$20K insurance being dropped. So pre-flight PCR test only, no testing on arrival/one night hotel quarantine for these countries?

Not interested in travelling outside Thailand until PCR testing is dropped between both country pairs.

It serves zero purpose. I'm triple vaccinated and done with this nonsense. Why can I get on a packed flight to Bangkok and not to KL?

Covid is endemic in SE Asia and this is the situation we will end up accepting in a couple of months anyway.
