Moldova will be next, not the Baltic States. Russia already has a small army at the Moldova border sitting in a breakaway province (sound familiar?). Once the troops that broke out of the Crimea link up, they will move into Moldova proper. 
 

The whole plane idea is DOA. Once Putin rattled the nuclear saber, the west changed their mind. It wasn’t worth the chance of escalation. I don’t think the nations in question were too keen on the idea anyway. With Putin’s tanks running around, they didn’t want to give up a large portion of their existing Air Force without ready replacements.
