Let me explain what the poster meant. He was obviously referring to the total pre-pandemic volume of 39 million. I’m sure you knew that but another opportunity to be argumentative couldn’t be missed. The only other explanation for you not understanding it is that you are unaware that 39 million was the official tourist number to Thailand pre-pandemic.

Thank you Soidog, Obviousley I didn't take the bait. He knew what I ment but couldn't resist the opprtunity for some attention.

It’s often the way with some people. They don’t initiate their own views or opinions as they fear someone will behave as they do. They just wait to criticise those who engage in the forum in the way it was intended. Keep posting 👍🏻

I appreciate your optimism which I am hesitant to share. Thailand 30 yrs ago (that's when the tourism from KSA came to a halt) is different of nowadays Thailand. If your predictions are true, why aren't we seeing huge numbers of tourists from other parts of the region, i.e. the UAE? KSA has a population of 31m, so the potential, i.e. compared with the USA (330m) or Europe 500+m) is distinctively lower. Let's wait and see, I'd be happy to be proven wrong for the sake of the tourism industry in Thailand.

The UAE has a much smaller population than KSA so your never going to see anywhere near the same number of emeriti visitors ever.

im aware of the changes in thailand over the last few decades as are most however far more important are the huge changes in KSA over the last 5 years or so.its a huge potential new market for the inbound travel industry and believe the thai tourism industry could do very well out of it if marketed well.

As ever only time will tell but I do appreciate your point of view also.
