The evacuation of Thai citizens from Ukraine is now underway, with 47 Thais having arrived at a dedicated facility in the Ukrainian city of Lviv, according to a Bangkok Post report. The Thai embassy in Warsaw, Poland, is managing the evacuation, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The embassy has opened a help centre in Lviv, with a specially chartered bus departing from the centre to transport Thai nationals to Warsaw. Entry into Thailand has been delayed for those leaving Ukraine since they have not met the requirements for the Thailand pass. Officials have agreed to discuss the issue at their next CCSA meeting, However, no currently discussed options will be official until posted in the Royal Gazette.  Officials added that they are very concerned with the state of those affected by the Invasion of Ukraine. Despite this, keeping those in Thailand safe from Covid is paramount.
