Rescuers from the Ruamkanyu Foundation reported finding Tangmo’s body flaoting in the river at around 1:10pm. When she fell off and couldn't swim then why is it the driver's fault.

This should result in mandatory swimming classes at school.

This story is seriously lacking the actress's story. She not only starred in Thai soap operas, but she was outspoken about her faith in God. And she was often criticized among Thai Christians for what they considered poor lifestyle choices. She had also been involved in life-threatening situations before and survived, earning her the nickname of "the 9 life cat." Love her or not, she was far too young to die so soon. It is a tragedy and there were many witnesses. The truth of what really happened to her will come out soon.

The operator of the vessel had been drinking. In most jurisdictions that will get you charged. Even when no one dies. Still a lot to learn from eyewitness testamony of the 5 other passengers. Speculation is he may have contributed to her death through his negligent operation (not idling as she was attempting to urinate off the back of the vessel and/or possibly chopping her with the propeller after her fall).

If he did idle, the chance to hit her with a prop is bigger, as him "driving normally on a fun cruise". Because that way she fells, but touches the water some meter behind the speedboat. My guess, b/c have seen that happening on other "fun cruises", in day time, the people on the boat got that "some time after she fell". Dark, no one knows how far back, she probably screaming for attention and ...., R.i.P.!

Very sad. Beautiful woman. One of my wife’s favorite actresses. It’s just sad that we can make such a big deal about wearing masks for a silly virus but not about a life vest on a boat or a helmet on a motorbike.

I’m as far from a conspiracy theorist as it’s possible to be but isn’t it odd, a) on a tiny boat no one notices one of their number is missing and then too far away to see her via spotlight when they do notice and b) 50-60 kilo of anything hitting the water makes a decent splash sound surely? 

However what’s most shocking is all the pictures and videos around of her battered and presumably half eaten body coming out. In one she is facing down but with her face slightly to her left and it is haunting, with her back looking very badly marked, truly gruesome stuff. Then the jetski taking away her body with her exposed legs bouncing up and down on the back only partly covered! 

Given she’s virtually naked too there is zero respect for her poor family.

Typical Thai logic. Why blame the boat operator for a passenger doing the unexpected ?   I assume she might have had a drink   or two….or three.   Goes to the back of the boat while the boat captain is up front steering.  Falls over….but what about the other guests ?  Why were they not aware of her disappearance within a few minutes ? She may have been a good swimmer,  but water pollution has some weird effects.

Wrong, nothing to do with Thai logic.  A boat driver (I call him that as he was unlicensed) is wholly responsible for the safety of all persons onboard the craft he 'commands'.  This guy was negligent in more ways than one.

What do think 'polluted' the water, Crocodiles?  No, the propeller is most likely what cut her open.

You have presumed that the body was half eaten. The scavenger fish are not that fast, and the water monitor lizards don't get out to the main channel. The physical injury is most likely due to impact with other water vessels, many of whom are large enough that an impact would not have been noticed.

Yes, the recovery of bodies in Thailand is pretty bad. If the intent was to protect evidence, then the body would have been loaded onto a flat board , hoisted onto  a boat and then body bagged. If, as you say, the corpse was dragged behind a jet ski, then that's some really incompetent police control of a potential crime scene and evidence. As per the family and all that stuff, keep in mind that in Thailand, the body is a vessel for the spirit and once deceased, the vessel is not important.Nothing is permanent, so the body itself was not viewed in the same manner Euro centric societies see it.   

That boat operator is something special. he was responsible for the safety of the passengers and he should have returned to port as soon as he  learned that the toilet had stopped operating.  Having passengers (reportedly) piss and crap off the stern was irresponsible and illegal.
