Fanta Posted February 23, 2022 #167433 Share Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) And how many checks do they have to write until the beaches are clean enough for the officials? This whole affair stinks of more than oil. Cathat Posted February 23, 2022 #168015 Share Posted February 23, 2022 they seem to be taking a very long time to sort this mess out. Most other places in the world they would be owing millions in compensation after the first spill and people from head office would be on site jumping up and down to get it sorted asap. Can see no reasonable excuse why this was not sorted quickly and environmental damage minimised. The pipe is in shallow water and one of the region's largest and most respected offshore diving contractors head office and main marine operations base is just up the road.
