32 coronavirus-related deaths were reported by the CCSA today, raising the pandemic’s death toll in Thailand to 22,656 with 958 of those fatalities since the start of this year. In the 24-hour period since the last count, the CCSA recorded 18,883 new Covid-19 cases and 14,914 recoveries. There are now 166,397 people in Thailand being treated for Covid-19. Well, the numbers are going up as expected. The focus will shift to hospitalisations and deaths. At least I hope it does. Omicron does infect exponentially, there is no doubt about it. It can be frightening. The same things we have done in the past will help. Masks, hand hygiene, safe distance and vaccination.
