This reminds me of the NGO Battle to prevent a Transparency Law for the NGO Sector. Same players as now fighting the Internet Gateway. Cybercrime is going through the roof and the plan to establish a certain control over the content sent and received is justified eventhough some don't like it. Cambodia currently is nowhere near the level of online snooping like the US,EU,Australia,Canada,Israel and even Thailand. Privcay has never really existed so why bother. China uses some Social Credit System in several Cities now that should worry those that have something to hide. Better get clean...., it's coming !

NK News is an American subscription-based website that provides news and analysis about North Korea. Established in 2011, it is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea with reporters in Washington, D.C. and London.[1] Reporting is based on information collected from in-country sources, recently returned western visitors to North Korea, stories filed by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), interviews with defectors, and reports published by NGOs and western governments. The site's founder and Managing Director is Chad O'Carroll, a former employee of the German Marshall Fund, who has written on North Korea and North Korea issues for The Daily Telegraph.[2][3]

As a result, “seven bank accounts in two different financial institutions have been closed since 2017. Cambodia has shut down all DPRK's businesses, including restaurants and museums, operating in Cambodia.

“On 12 June 2019, the [commerce ministry] deregistered a company of the DPRK – Glory Worldwide Glow Co Ltd. The [ministry] searched the entities registered in its system and found that 12 entities, including Mansudae New Tech Corporation Ltd were related to the DPRK,” the statement said.

It noted that all 12 were deregistered on December 30, 2019, just 25 days after eight restaurants were shut down and had their licences “deregistered”.

“Since 2017, Cambodia has stopped granting work authorisation for workers from the DPRK. As of 30 November 2019, the government decided not to issue the extension of visas for the DPRK nationals who worked in Cambodia,” the ministry said.

Move to Xi ccp china and enjoy the firewall, total censorship, total surveillance and social credit ststem. To compare this with democracy countries is the most absurd I ever read. Sure clowns and empty heads would agree.
