A plate of Thailand’s popular meal, pad krapao, was tied to a high altitude balloon, sending it 30 kilometres up into the sky for a space experiment by Thailand’s Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency. To mark Thailand’s first space experiment using a high-altitude balloon, a large plate of pad krapao was sent up as well. So, how much space got this experiment, in the stratosphere ballon ride?

Brilliant. If I was an astronaut going up to the space station for any length of time, I would appreciate some good Thai food to munch on. Now to see how mango and sticky rice holds up. 

There's two things I'm wondering.....first...how the hell do they expect to recoup the meal to see how it went. Second, if they do managed to recover the food, what was the intended purpose? Is it going to be the post rocket take off meal of choice??
