the incident didn’t happen in Phuket as there are no reports or records on the incident at any police station in the province. The police page also said Phuket is safe for all tourists.

It didn't happen, because Phuket is safe for everyone 😂

Well, since the incident didn't happen in Phuket, it would seem the Phuket police are!

Maybe after the knock on the head she forgot that Phuket was an island ...

Are we allowed to not believe the story as told ?

No, because dirty diseased foreigners have no right to tarnish Thailand's flawless reputation. To be fair Thailand is, in my experience, no more or less safe than any other South East Asian country. It probably does have a high accident rate due to things like idiots hurtling around on motorcycles that they don't know how to drive.

It sure does. But that’s unrelated to crime.

Every 3G and above phone has a unique IMEI number. It’s  simple enough to find if a stolen phone is in use by checking with DTAC etc to see if the IMEI number is in use and go from there.

Enter *#06# to see your own.

lmfao!  I have comeback to respond after reading other  reactions to yours. The interpretation of many of them is that in reality they agree the basis of the  tale is suspect  but  would prefer agree with it as some confirmation of both denial of home origin statistical crime horror and xenophobic accusation of false claims at geographical  targets of personal  failure.

Whole story sounds a bit hollow.

Foreign female wanders around alone in a strange place?????  Tooo much drama here.

No no no! Hi so female having  recently (apparently) completed  filming a a Reality Show  reports outside of the country of alleged "attack"  yet provides no evidence  of it other than claims that  can not be confirmed will have  nothing to do with promoting  both her  TV Presenter profile  OR  her  "Reality "  show. Or?

No. Say it aint so.

Land at the airport get in a taxi and get robbed. Go in a shop and get robbed. Visit an attraction and get robbed. Leave stuff in your hotel room and get robbed. Walk into a restaurant or bar and get robbed. Get into a relationship with a Thai and get robbed. Jump in a tuk tuk and get robbed.

The list is endless.

But the Thai apologists will tell you "I have been here for 30 years and never been robbed" 😂

By the way there was no word about that she had no time to report it and exactly the opposite happened and the team was worried because the robbery was very brutal. So it was not the german press who rewrite the story the rewrite was made in the Thai press/ Police!

By the way in her interview she not mention the name of the village or town only it happened at the beach in Thailand near her hotel and not at night . Also she had head injuries and it was reported at the local police together with the film production team. This is a complete other version we read in the bangkok post or Thaiger. Sombody is trying to rewrite the story.
