News Forum - Scientists in India say they’ve come up with a vaccine against all Covid variants

Recommended Posts

Indian scientists say they have come up with a vaccine that is effective against all variants of Covid-19… Yes, ALL variants. With new SARS-COV-2 virus versions causing new outbreaks of the highly contagious disease, scientists at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, and Kazi Nazrul University designed a vaccine, which they say, can defend against any potential coronavirus variations. The scientists believe that their vaccine, AbhiSCoVac, “would be able to generate protective immunity against all six virulent members of the family hCoV-229E, hCoV-HKU1, hCoV-OC43, SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV as well as SARS-CoV-2.” The researchers first discovered several common areas in […]

The next step would be to produce the vaccine, followed by a testing period.

And when that's completed, we'll have more new variants.

…… And they also say they have come up with the cure fore the common cold and cancer ….. They are now working on a bullshit pill that will allow the person to know when they are being Bullshitted, but this may take a little longer and is being funded by all major political parties.

I loved the responses so far - good laughs - thanks.  We all know this is yet another 'joke' (misinterpretation).

On a serious note - both those institutions are research - it looks to me that their 'discovery' is 'academic' - meaning it is a theory based on clinical research by academics (loosley referred to as scientists).  It is amazing how much drivel can be peddled by the media with a headline including the term 'scientists have' included.  Eg. Scientists in Lithuania have discovered a potential cure for cancer.   Our modern Facebook/Twitter world means that most millennials and younger have the attention span of a goldfish - they never remember this same sort of khrapp was announced last week about warts or was it acne or was it hair loss.

Note for the teaching ciriculum at junior schools:  A scientist is someone who systematically gathers and uses research and evidence, to make hypotheses and test them, to gain and share understanding and knowledge.

Our definition of a scientist - The Science Council ~ : The Science Council

https://sciencecouncil.org/about-science/our-definition-of-a-scientist/

Very very few of the millions of 'scientists' in the world have ever actually solved or developed something useful to mankind.  The vast majority generate very little real outputs - the vast majority of 'scientific' theories and suppositions go nowhere. They are not special or unique and know things - I wish people would realise that and stop thinking all scientists are 'special'.  Einstein and Curie and Newton were very very x 1050 unique.     Sorry - rant over 😊

I assume you understand I did not mean any disrespect - I have been there too (not that long though).  Indian have a unique way of expression that is beautifully captured in that gif.  Indians are lovely people - and it always amazed me how so many of them could be so happy and pleasant while living like that (New Delhi).

One day after a cricket match we played, there was a towel that I used all day (soaked in ice water) to use when cooling down players who needed it.  At the end of the day it was putrid - so I put it in a bin. When we arrived the next day that towel had been cleaned and pressed and was given to me by the local boss of the ground - and he refused any payment.  Luckily I had a supply of gold Aussie lapel pins (for all the dignatories we met) and he accepted one with great kindness and gratitude. He proudly wore that pin every day we played at that stadium - wonderful people - never met a rude or 'bad' one while over there.

thank to their own actions of, private show government ( with their institus and scientists ),
so most people stopped, finally to believe what they say.

remember, first, no vaccine is needed to end corona, was said,
then 1, then 2, then 3 ( booster ), then 4, now a vaccine for all those viruses.

and important things are usually not talked as,
economy with finance ( not own anything ), and education with goal of life.

Glass half empty ?

So lets stop all research into this developing virus - that should do the trick.

Seriously the negativity on here everytime a bit of light shines through is getting worse. On another thread there are people lambasting the lowest paid workers getting a higher living wage because that would mean their Pad Thai might cost 5 baht more! Has their been a mass exodus from ex thaivisa onto here ?

I think The Thaiger needs another 'symbol' in the responses - besides like, cool, angry, thanks and LOL - they also need 'what the?'  image.png.b005a42634b6233f7c97a156c0430ac5.png

I'd pay them personally just to stop all the amateur virologists and mask technicians invading my inbox. Not to mention the evasion specialists. What will they flap about next?
