The campaign season in the Philippines leading up to the May presidential election kicked off this week. Marcos should not be allowed to run but he's bought off the board members of Comelec (the Filipino electoral commission) and with Duterte's daughter as a running mate he's probably a shoe-in. Personally I think Manny Pacquiao would be better for the country, good for attracting foreign investment and with policies to raise the standard of living for the poor. But with so many years in the ring maybe he's just not up to it.
