PM Prayut wants health authorities to move faster to vaccinate kids five years old and older, as infection rates have gone up for kids aged 5-11. From January 1 to February 2 2022, there were 10,266 Covid-19 cases for kids in this age group, a 5.6% increase from April to December 2021, government figures say. The vaccination rate for children is still low, though. Out of Thailand’s five million children, only about 41,000, 0.8%, have even gotten their first shot. Pfizer vaccines for kids 5-11 just started on January 31, and they are still optional. Kids aged six and older […]

Quote: A government spokesperson said today that PM Prayut is concerned about the Covid-19 situation for 5-11 year olds.

I find that extremely hard to believe.

By all means jab all those children who have an infinitesimally small likelihood of serious complications much less death from the disease. The continued insistence of failing to identify those at serious risk continues to hamper effective measures worldwide.

He's lost all credibility in my book. Anyone advocating for children to be injected with these experimental not vaccines has decided they will side with the dark forces pushing these... ? What do you even call them? Honest, credible and thoughtful people no longer call them vaccines. And honest, credible thoughtful people would never be pushing drugs onto kids who don't need them.

What "continued insistence etc"?

They've been identified long ago.

In some countries such as the UK 4 million were advised to shield, and a year later over a million were still shielding.

In others, like Thailand, the solution was a mask mandate so that everyone could have more freedom in return for a minor inconvenience.

What more "effective measures" would you suggest?

A cull of the most vulnerable, with Soylent Green to solve the pork shortage?
