Thai tourism officials plan to hold talks with their counterparts in Malaysia and China for travel bubble schemes allowing quarantine-free travel between the countries. Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Minister, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, shared with Thai media that the ministry plans to talk with the two Asian counties about a sealed route this month. It will be opened on beginning of 3rd QTR this year. Said my family relatives who works in MOFA.  Chinese demand travel extremely but because of the Zero Infection Policy and so many stupid restrictions.

What does  *Quarantine-free" travel mean? In contrast to  Quarantine exempt under the Test and Go?

If the travel bubble with Malaysia is approved I would still rather drive to KL than take a plane inside the closed cabin of an airplane.

Except for the Chinese tourist who dares come to thailand (under "the bubble"), catchs covid here and can't get back home 😜
