I will transit in Thailand for about 3 hours only before flying back to Vietnam. But I have been receiving email from an airline ticket agent (gotogate) regarding travel requirements in Thailand. Below are the documents mentioned in the email:

1. Thailand Pass QR Code (QR Code is valid for no more than 72 hours from the registered date of arrival
2. To take RT-PCR test within 72 hours before departure
3. ASQ booking confirmation with the period of stay starting on the arrival date.
4. (For Non-Thais only) Medical insurance covering at least USD 50,000 (or equivalent value) of medical costs incurred during that stay in Thailand, including that if the passenger contracts Covid-19 during his stay

Do I actually need any of those things? Thank you.

Do I need to register with Thailand Pass if I’m visiting Thailand to transit to another country or territory (without passing through immigration control)?

-> No. But you do need to have an insurance policy document or proof of Covid-19 insurance with at least $50,000 insurance coverage and a COVID-19 test result, through RT-PCR test, issued within 72 hours of your departure

No you don't.
If your transiting you remain airside and thus not entering Thailand.

You just need to meet any requirements for entering Vietnam.

Wrong. You have to do the requirements for transit Thailand also. PCR Test 72 hours and 50,000USD covid insurance madness.

Thanks for your update, do you have a link to that information.
PCR test I can understand, $50,000 Insurance a bit of a joke.

The Lufthansa and Thai site says it is $100,000 required insurance to Transit Thailand. I think this has changed when the insurance requirement to enter changed can't find a link.
