 I live alone in a one bed condo in jomtien 

 Pool, gym, sauna all included. 

Total utility Bill's including rent 6500 baht. I drink and smoke.  Live comfortably on 30,000 a month. Unlimited wi fi 1500 baht per year

My take on that

If I lived in Thailand full time, there would be many days I spend 700 baht or less

But I don't think it's an enjoyable life, for me, to worry that I only have 700 baht budget to spend

Hell there is many days I spend less than 300 baht in Canada

But last night I went out and spent about 7k baht

I wouldn't want to be restricted in what I can do..

It's totally up to you most months we go through  about 100k baht . We own a house and car . Much less than on the US.
