Just for the fun of it, I looked up the Ad Lib hotel on booking.com, pretending to be interested in booking one room for two adults, breakfast included, for 8 nights in the period from the end  of April to early May this year.

I found the prices shocking.

The cheapest option was 40,353 baht, so more then 5,000 baht for one night.

The most expensive option in that period was almost 68,000 baht for this period. About 8,500 baht for one night.

Is this real, or is something wrong with the pricing on booking.com?

Because I am certain, it is possible to book in several 5-star hotels in Bangkok  a room for 2 adults, breakfast included in the same period for half the prices  mentioned above. Or less.

If those prices are real, then I start to understand why Prayut and his croonies want (only) wealthy tourists to come to Thailand.
