This despite the fact that on days 2, 3, and 4, travellers are free to wander where they like after receiving a negative result on day 1. The tourism sector has expressed frustration at the number of steps operators have to go through […]

We (our group) are not coming till you remove the tests after arrival and all the hastle that comes with it. We agree with the mandatory full vaccinated status of a tourist and the PCR test before departure on top of that. This is where the customer draws the line in the beach sand. We will not be lured into problems after that on Thai grounds, this is where Thailand has to move in  What is your strategy ? It almost looks like you  first want to milk money out of vaccinated and tested  tourists to purchase high quality vaccins and boosters for your own people. And.. whatEver you do, you will not stop the omicron variant, it's impossible. So, think like the Philippines, and save this tourist season

Seems they don't give that blue SHA+ certificate any more. Just filled in the Thailand pass, with jpeg of paying for 2 tests and hotel bookings. One hotel said that is sufficient. Will know in a few days I guess.

You either have a pot of gold, a death wish or love Russian Roulette. Don't forget to complain and look for compensation when and if you return home.

Just changed our trip to Singapore and Cambodia. Hope to return to Thailand but not until the testing rules become less onerous and costly. Will miss visiting Yanui Beach! Hope to see you next year.

The second test seems kind of pointless, and is certainly going to discourage some people from choosing Thailand over the ever-increasing number of neat places they can visit without mind-numbing requirements, but the mandatory 2nd hotel stay to get the stupid test will be a deal-breaker for a lot of people.  This is what you get when you turn common sense decisions over to politicians.

The  go where you want. Whining here won't change anything but make you unhappy.
