and world population is rather, 3-5 billions, not 8 or more, a statistic of governments.

They need to be educated as to what for what reasons, protection is used.

Then, they might use these methods.

Is there sex education in Thailand, how about birth control ?

I think we had a half hour chat at school about the birds & the bees. Just the absolute basics, nothing about birth control as it was a Catholic school.

I wish the Philippines would do the same.  Sadly, the church has too much power and strongly resists any attempts to do anything besides preaching abstinence.  The place is like a giant baby factory and most are born into abject poverty.  Their population is out of control for the size of the country.
