I am still amazed and delighted that since TH hit 2k cases of Omicron 3 weeks ago, they've still kept the figures below 10K. I can see a gradual easing of restrictions coming.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom! 😀

We're disincentivized to get tested and so most of my friends, farang and Thai alike, would only consider it if quite unwell or forced into it by necessity. So our numbers are against all odds compared to any other nation on earth.

That suits the government, and we can continue to be on every other country "green" list.

It's not a terrible thing. What's the point of saying we have 50k cases, having to deal with quarantines for next to no hospitalisations, a great many asymptomatic and all the media hype. It's quite a good situation, oddly. People get treatment if they want it and life is moving forward slowly.
