They are devoid of ideas so continue to flog a dead horse. Dont TAT etc read the indebtedness figures for Thai people? At a time when household debt is at a decades high there is no way that domestic tourism is on the agenda except for the privileged few, so offering a discount that requires expenditure is an utter waste of time. And anyway the fact that most places of entertainment are closed makes this country like a giant graveyard, not an interesting place to visit.

Agreed - absolutely barmy. To get the subsidy you have to spend money, just like the other subsidies.

Yes, tourism needs support but most Thais don't want to travel and aren't popular when they do.
