Deja vu or Forgetful 🤔

Hi,

Am I the only person to remember that...

We used to pay a THB500 cash departure tax which went to better the tourism industry.

This was then altered from a cash payment and added to the cost of a flight ticket..

Now the latest 'government' have decided to demand a THB300 payment upon arrival.. 🙄 Which will of course go to the tourist industry..again.... 🤔

Oh but, it will also supposedly give the tourists travel insurance..

Which if I'm not mistaken..

All tourists are required to have anyway to enter the 'Land of Smiles' 🤔.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this..

Maybe it's more along the lines of the Gov not having any imaginative ideas (no idea what they are doing either) to raise money so they regurgitate old ideas hoping you've forgotten the original.
